Dignity Access has become a Commercial Partner of the Trade organisation, Foundations UK, which acts as the trade body for Disabled Facilities Grants and Home Improvement Agencies in the home adaptations sector across England.

Foundations is contracted by the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities to oversee a national network of nearly 200 Home Improvement Agencies (HIAs) and handyperson providers across the country. Its advisors work closely with suppliers and influencers to support the important work of these providers so that they can give the highest standard of service to those in need of disability adaptations at home.

Foundations advocates for good practice and supports positive change in the delivery of the DFG programme. It also manages two website for those looking at adapting their homes with AdaptMyHome that checks how well the home currently supports the user’s needs and advises on what adaptations may help, while FindmyHIA locates the nearest Home Improvement Agency.
