Presentations or Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Sessions
Dignity Access can offer our Local Authority, Legal and Healthcare Customers presentations
or CPD sessions to improve their understanding of the benefits of showering and the
WashPod range of temporary disabled wetrooms.
Who is it for?
Essentially, anyone who is involved in housing adaptations for their customers that helps keep them at home. This might include Occupational Therapists, Case Managers, Grants Officers, Technical Officers, Housing Surveyors, Clinical Negligence Solicitors or Personal Injury Solicitors.
How it can be delivered?
We can run a session on Teams, Google Meet or Zoom either as part of your regular monthly meetings or as a special event for you. Or we can come to you.
The Presentation will outline:
- The physical, mental and medical benefits of showering
- Research references to support this
- The background to the WashPod range and how the models available suit different needs and spaces
- 4 or 5 case studies to show how WashPod’s rapid installation has helped users meet these needs at home
- Our unique Grant Turnaround Service that is offered to Local Authorities
- How WashPod meets many of the Guidelines for the Disabled Facilities Grant including modularity, recyclability, MND, private landlords
As a way of supporting good practice, delegates will also:
- Learn how a temporary, modular wetroom can aid recovery, both mentally and physically but also medically
- Understand how to use the DFG to fund a WashPod
- Be given some case studies to illustrate these positive outcomes
- Be afforded the opportunity to ask questions to gain a greater insight
